This is what a page at Tripod looks like. Note that the banner ad is two full banners with the text, plus they've introduced a pop-down. On the overall Tripod is extremely reliable and fast loading. You get a subdomain name. They have limited cgi (you can't chmod), and there is a bandwidth limit of 1 gig per month.
